Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948), is an English rock singer and songwriter, famous for his membership in the rock band Led Zeppelin as the lead vocalist, as well as for his successful solo career. He recently released an album produced by T-Bone Burnett with well known American bluegrass soprano Alison Krauss, both winning Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and the coveted Album of the Year for their 2008 effort.
